A new take on an old design. Saddlebags have been around forever. I'm not one to break with tradition, but I felt there were two issues--"thigh rub" and downward tilting bags-- that needed improvement. (Support racks do a fine job, but add weight and complexity.) Our Large Bag addresses these problems:

1. A tapered extension to the seatpost minimizes brushing your legs against the bag while pedalling.
2. The extension also utilizes wasted space underneath the saddle--the divided compartment adds an additional 1.5 liters of storage*.
3. Bag doesn't tilt downward; main opening and side pockets stay level so items won't fall out.
4. "Rhomboid" side shape creates a flat bottom, providing maximum tire clearance without sacrificing on capacity.

*A note on our extension compartment:

This partition works as a stand-off only when it is filled. It's perfect for storing little used stuffable/soft items such as inner tubes or a poncho. Bubble wrap can also be used as a lightweight filler.

Mounting straps are designed for Brooks saddles with bag loops.
